Recipe for June! Cool Lemon Cake!
You will need: One pkg of Lemon Cake Mix (or you can use Yellow), 2 cups of cold Milk, 1 1/4 cups of Water, 2 pkgs (4 serving size each) of Jell-O Instant Lemon Pudding, 1/3 cup of sugar & a couple TBSP of powdered sugar. (Cool Whip too, if you like!) .... Preheat your oven to 350. Prepare cake mix as directed on package & pour batter into your greased 13 x 9 pan. In a bowl, pour milk & water into a large bowl & add dry pudding mixes and sugar. Beat with a whisk until well blended. Pour this directly over the cake batter in your pan. Bake 55 minutes to an hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 20 minutes then sprinkle the top with powdered sugar. Once completely cooled, refrigerate. This is such a wonderful COOL REFRESHING treat in the warmer months. However, it can also be served warm as well for a gooey warm treat in the cooler months!! Don't forget that dollop of Cool Whip on top!! YUM!! :)
RECIPE FOR MAY! Brownie Delight!!
You'll need: One package of Brownie Mix for a 13x9 pan, one pkg. of 8 oz cream cheese & one pkg of 3 oz cream cheese (both softened), 2 cups of powdered sugar, 2 - 8 oz containers of Cool Whip, 2 1/2 cups of cold milk, 2 (3.9 oz) boxes of Instant Chocolate Pudding and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans! Prepare & bake your brownie mix as per directions and let cool completely. In a mixing bowl combine both cream cheeses & powdered sugar & beat for approx. 2 minutes. Fold in one container of Cool whip. Spread this over brownies. In another bowl, combine your milk & pudding mixes. Beat till smooth. Let rest in the fridge for 5 minutes, then spread this over the cream cheese layer. Now spread your other container of Cool Whip across the top and sprinkle with pecans! YUM!! This is one of my family's favorites! Easy to make & ooohh so good!! :) Enjoy!!
I'm really not sure where to start! I have enjoyed art projects since I started drawing at a young age. Oh, then it was ceramics!! And now, tole painting which I love more than any other painting I've done before. I am very honored to be part of Terrye French's "Painting With Friends" this has brought me such joy!
As for my family life, I'm married with 2 fantastic sons. These boys are so much fun!! They can always make me smile no matter what!! I love to garden, but never seem to have time. There are new crafts I'd like to try, but never enough time! And oddly as it sounds, my other true love is classic rock music, particularly Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page! Just call me an old hippie! haha!! I've been a Zeppelin fan for years but I'll try hard to keep my art and Zep separated if I can! :)
Hi Sharon!! I love the fall too, and you are a wonderful interpreter of this season!! Welcome with your blog :)
